Wordless Wednesday: Summer Break Style

Time for Wordless Wednesday with Miss DeCarbo of Sugar and Spice.

This is the first Wednesday of my summer break... ahhhhhhh! Just because I'm on break doesn't mean that I take a break from school work. Not so, it just means that I take my good old time getting things done. I've brought a TON of things home from my classroom to work on over the summer. The problem is that I'm taking my time putting it away until I get the gumption to work on it. Do any of you have a similar problem?

It seems that everywhere that I turn is school "stuff"! Piles of it! On Tuesday I tried to tame the mess. Now everything is in organized piles, but still piles; piles arranged in the order that I want to tackle. Guess I'll just have to start doing some work. So much for summer break!

  1. Lol, my picture is somewhat similar to yours. Only my pile is a lot bigger because I had to take home EVERYTHING. So, no helpful advice from me!

  2. Yes!!! I have a similar problem! In the past, I tend to "get serious" about my pile around mid-July, and then I get stressed the last few weeks of summer because I'm running out of time and won't get to finish it all! GOOD LUCK tackling your piles!

  3. I brought home a big pile of laminated materials... But I probably won't cut them out until August lol

  4. I live less than five minutes from my school, so I quit bringing stuff home to work on. I'll stop by school for a little bit every no and then and that breaks down on me dragging stuff home with me. If I bring it home, I never work on it. Lol

  5. If it was me those piles would stay untouched until school started again in August. I always have lofty goals for the summer and they typically don't happen. I am not motivated in the summer!

  7. I came over from Wordless Wednesday! I feel so guilty! I'm using the excuse that we're getting highs in the 90s for my reason not to unpack and organize my school stuff in the garage!

  9. Yes! My room is one of the first ones they are cleaning, so it's off limits for a while. This is a good thing because I can set up early. However, in the meantime I am dealing with a huge pile, and I can't seem to find a home for everything.

  10. I bring home a few bookbags and put them in the garage. Then I procrastinate until the end of July. Then I slowly begin to look at a few things one day at a time or not. :)
