Time to join Miss DeCarbo for...

What are you currently studying in science?

Something as simple as a clear balloon and a coin helped my sixers understand a complex scientific concept.

Be sure to stop by Teachers are Terrific to see more fun classroom science activities!

  1. I love Science! In my Kindergarten class we are beginning a study on animals this week. We are using the new NGSS so the emphasis is beyond simple habitats and body coverings... we are learning about why animals need certain adaptations to survive in their habitats.

  3. We are studying Penguins right now. So we will be doing an experiment tomorrow about how blubber helps the Penguins adapt to their environment.

  4. I love the balloon activity! I will have to use that next year. BTW I have a freebie on my Facebook page that goes right along with Newton's laws (not trying to promote just wanted to give you a heads up in case you were still on the Laws :)).
