I love interactive notebook foldables. I have been getting better at them each year I try them. This year my district gave us money to spend on our classrooms and I bought 3 interactive notebook products from Erin at I'm Lovin' Lit and they have been wonderful even though I haven't been able to fully implement them since I bought them mid-year.
If I had a normal classroom I definitely would be using interactive notebooks and foldables. However, I switched to be the STEM Lab teacher this past August and I found that foldables, gluing, and the notebooks did not work in the amount of time I saw students. I have third through fifth graders for 45 minutes weekly. Next year class will be an hour long and I may experiment with notebooks again!
I tried this year, but we were also trying to figure out a lot of stuff with our iPads. I'm hoping that I can have a better idea of what I want, so that I can structure the lesson/activity for success!

ReplyDeleteI don't this year, but I am planning on having interactive notebooks next year. I need to start doing my research!
