Throwback Thursday: Come and Join the Fun with a PURR-fect Post

I've been having such a great time each week with  my Throwback Thursday posts and OLD pictures, and I've received some awesome feedback about them soooooo I decided that I'd invite you to join me! It's simple, it's quick, and it's fun!

Here's my throwback for this week. It first appeared on May 19th of last year, just in time for Memorial Day.

Many of you know that my sixers love mystery pictures! Like, CRAZY love them! They think it's the best way to practice parts of speech and other drill type Language Arts skills. I've been working on some summer related mystery pictures that I'm sending home over the summer with both my fifth and sixth graders, and thought I should take time out to make at least one picture for Memorial Day. It's nothing fancy, just some patriotic bunting, practicing nouns, verbs, and adjectives. If you are interested you can download it HERE or by clicking on the graphic.

Now that you see how it's done, it's your turn!

Look through your previous posts. Find one that you really liked, one that would be fun to share once again. Copy and paste that PURR-fect post into a brand new one. Add a bit of explanation, perhaps why you chose this post, something you've refined or changed about it, new pictures to add to it, etc.,  and the following linky badge (created with terrific clip art from Krista Wallden). Then link your post to this one using the widget below, and VOILA! There you have it... a Throwback Thursday party. Sure hope to see you there!!!

  1. I would totally participate as I love these "old" pictures and things too, but my blog is not yet one year old. My first post was 7/14/13. So I will have to wait. :)

    1. Jump right in, Lisa! My blog just hit the year mark in late February, yet I was Throwing Back last summer. You've always got great ideas to share!

  2. Hey Angela, where did you get that super cute cat clip art? I looked through Krista's stuff and am having a hard time finding it... My students love those mystery puzzles too!

    1. Hi, Lisa!
Don't you just Love Krista's material? The cute kitty used above is from her May Clip Art Club. It was the second week's installment. Here's the link to the product on TpT:
Creative Clips May Club. The kitty collection (along with several other feline friends and accessories) isn't available for individual purchase for three months.

      Have a great day,
      Angela
